My 100 wc Night zoo

Hi guys,
In class we are entering our writing into the 100 word challenge website.Here is the link to the website: http://100wc.net/ .When you get onto the page you enter into the website you need to scroll down straight away because the top of the site doesn't load for quite some time.Here's the catch though. If you want to enter your writing,it has to be exactly 100 words.No more or less.Here is my writing for this week.

Boom, crash, bang, the lightning smashed into the abandoned enclosure.Suddenly a minotaur appeared out of the lightning.The minotaur had only one eye.He was bleeding from the cut in his chest.His horns looked devilish.His name was Mike the minotaur.His eyes, red with rage,made shivers go down my spine like an earthquake.He charged towards me, each step making a booming sound.Each step making a noise that even an elephant couldn't achieve.I was paralyzed with fear.Fear held me captive.The trees urged me to move by flapping in the wind.Death appeared.

ANZAC Letters

Hi guys,for our topic last term we focused on the ANZACS.We had to pretend we were soldiers of the war,we had to write a letter to a loved one or family.Here is my letter I hope you enjoy. :-)

Dear Family and Friends,

I am a soldier for the ANZACS.I am one of the few who has survived these past few days.The first day we arrived at Gallipoli,bullets rained down on us.Since our packs were so heavy,some of us slipped and fell on the wet ground.The Turks are amazing marksmen.To test them we put one of our hats/or helmets on a stick and you wouldn't,believe it they shot right through the middle of it.For food we get sent packages,with hard tack and meat.The hard tack is so hard that soldiers have broken their teeth on them.

Stories of the Sea

WALT: use our senses, touch,sound and what you smell will put our reader into that scene,that we are trying to set.

So What?  I put my physical senses into a scene of the beach since at the beach you can smell, hear and touch so it will spark a nice memory that the reader has had.

Now What?Try and put more detail into my senses writing.

 

 

Adventurous Surfers v Monstrous Waves

I study the waves wrestling, as they try to knock the masculine surfers off their boards.  Aaaaaaaah….., a surfer shrieks for help, as he gets knocked off his board into the monstrous waves. I listen to the wave’s crest, smashing against the sand as if there is a fierce battle with the sea versus the sand. I inhale the sea foam, clothing the entire beach with a fresh smell.

My first Mathletics certificate.Since I didn't have my e-portfolio when I got my certificate so I have posted it now.It iss a bronze.We have to do activities on Mathletics to get points.You have to have one,thousand points to get a bronze,five bronze certificates are worth a silver certificate.Four  silver certificates are worth a gold. :-]
